Four Year Blogiversary

Goodness, this is making me feel ancient.

I hope you are all having a lovely October day! It’s a special day for me, because – as I’m sure you have at this point rightly guessed – today is my four year blogiversary. It’s so strange to think that my blog has been around for four years…that sounds like such a long time.

At the same time, though, looking back in my archives makes me remember how many posts I’ve written and how far I’ve come. I have sadly been writing fewer posts of late than I used to, but I assure you that I do not intend to let my blog just peter out. I love being a part of the blogging world and getting to spend time with you all; I’d never want to lose that. Thank you all so much for reading, for following, and for commenting – it really does mean a lot to me! <3

Every year I have shared stats, but I always find myself wondering if anyone really particularly cares to see them. I’ll just share a couple tidbits, but please do let me know if you have a particular desire to see them or if you really don’t, because I’d like to know for the future.

Total posts published (including this one): 179

My Top 4 Favorite Les Misérables Recordings (1,442 views)
Sense and Sensibility (2008) Movie Review (1,388 views)

A few posts from the last year I’d like to highlight:

The Role of Feelings in Holy Week
2025 Year in Review: Movies (lots of fun to write)
Vintage Cooking Adventures: Stuffed Mushrooms and Cheese Straws (I was surprised by how much I enjoyed re-reading this!)

Now, I traditionally do some fun festive post to celebrate my blogiversary. I found that I wasn’t sure exactly what to do this time, so I decided I’d throw out a few suggestions and ask what my kindly readers would most like to see:

1) a dream cast post (I had the idea of letting you all vote on what story I make a dream cast for, if you’d find that fun)
2) a blogging game, i.e. a movie/quote/or screencap guessing game, making a “what character are you” quiz, &c. (One specific game idea I had was that you could list any combination of actors you chose, and I would have to make up a fictional movie idea I thought would work for those actors)
3) another Ask Me Anything post
4) creating a period drama and/or classic films tag
5) …or anything else. Any post you think it’d be fun to see, please let me know!

Well, thanks again for sticking around for all my rambling. I’ll see you around!

    CONGRATS LIZZIE!!!! 💃💃 Happy blogiversary!!!!
The stats are interesting to see (179 total posts!!), especially which posts have been enjoyed most by readers, but I really don’t mind either way! And I think a dream cast post would be fun!
Also, the image of the little animal party is quite cute!
