Welcome back to Tuneful Tuesday! I’m posting something slightly different today, in honor of the season: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.
This hymn is just beautiful; even apart from the lyrics, the melody is lovely by itself. I’m sharing Enya’s version of it, which is gorgeous. There are a lot of verses she leaves out, however (although half of what she does have is in Latin, which is cool), so I’m also sharing a lovely version by the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles. (Honestly, I recommend their whole Advent at Ephesus album – it has a lot of really lovely Advent carols and chants.)
So, here you go:
Happy Advent!
