Happy Independence Day!

vintage Independence Day postcard

Happy Independence Day, my fellow Americans! (And please do be happy if you’re not American, too. Celebrating one’s national holiday is not a prerequisite for being happy.) Today is the day to remember just how much we love this country of ours, to celebrate it…and also to pray for it and ask for God to help it, and ask Him to help us to do our part in making it the best America it can be.

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her, and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam,
God bless America, my home sweet home
,
God bless America, my home sweet home.

A very happy Independence Day to you all!
